Abstract. Purpose:To report findings by optical coherence tomography for nanophthalmos in a child. Case:A 6-year-old girl presented with suspected visual impairment. Findings:Corrected visual acuity was 0.08 right and 0.09 left. Both eyes had refraction of +18.25 diopters. Corneal diameter was 10.0 mm in either eye. Axial length was 15.35 mm right and 15.33 mm left. Both eyes showed pseudopapilledema. Macular reflex was absent. Retinal thickness averaged 380μm right and 386μm left. Foveal thickness averaged 376μm right and 369μm left. After wearing spectacles for 2 years, corrected visual acuity improved to 0.6 in either eye. Conclusion:Increases in retinal and foveal thickness and absence of foveal depression were similar to those of nanophthalmos in adults.
