Abstract. Purpose:To report a case of dislocation of iris-supported phakic intraocular lens(IOL)following blunt trauma. Case:A 52-year-old man had received insertion of iris-supported phakic IOL for myopia of -8 diopters. One year later, his left eye was hit by a ruptured piece of rubber while working. Findings:His corrected visual acuity was 2.0 right and hand motion left. The intraocular pressure was 30mmHg right and 42mmHg left. The left eye showed corneal edema and hyphema. The IOL was dislocated inferiorly. The IOL in the right eye was intact. The corneal endothelium showed cell population of 1,094/mm2 right and 1,848/mm2 left. Conclusion:Iris-supported IOL may be dislocated by minor blunt trauma to the eye.
