Abstract. Purpose:To report suturing of dislocated intraocular lens(IOL)using a needle. Cases:We treated 5 eyes that showed dislocation of posterior chamber IOL. Acrylic three-piece IOL was used in 4 eyes and PMMA single piece IOL in one eye. Method:One haptic of dislocated IOL is brought onto the iris. The haptic is then passed into the lumen of 27-guage needle. The haptic is then brought outside through a corneal port and a thread is sutured to the haptic. The haptic is then returned into the anterior chamber. A similar procedure is performed to the other haptic. The threads are used to fixate the haptics to the ciliary sulcus. Results:All the IOLs in 5 eyes could be replaced in their correct position. Complications have been absent throughout. Conclusion:The current method is safe and useful to replace dislocated IOLs.
