網膜色素変性患者の心理的援助の課題―順天堂大学眼科学教室同窓会アンケート調査と患者の声から

Need of psychological support to patients of retinitis pigmentosa―Outcome of questionnaire by doctors and interview of patients

要約　目的：網膜色素変性の診療での心理的援助の現状と課題についての医師側と患者側からの検討。対象と方法：順天堂大学眼科同窓会の医師298名と，網膜色素変性の患者5名を対象とした。医師には郵送によるアンケート，患者には面接を行った。結果：医師122名（41％）から回答が得られ，その7割が医学的知識が不十分であること，3割が心理的福祉的援助が不十分であると感じていた。患者には共通した心理過程があり，特に継続的な医師との関係を望んでいた。結論：医師側の認識とはやや異なり，網膜色素変性の患者は医師とのコミュニケーションを心理的援助として求めている。

Abstract.　Purpose：To report the present status and problems of retinitis pigmentosa regarding psychological support by patients and doctors. Objects and Methods：A questionnaire was sent to 298 alumni of Department of Ophthalmology, Juntendo University. Five patients of retinitis pigmentosa were reviewed. Results：The questionnaire was responded by 122 doctors（41％）. Insufficient medical knowledge was keenly felt by 70％ of responders. More psychological and welfare support was called for by 30％ of responders. The patients showed a common psychological process and particularly desired to stay in continued relationship with doctors. Conclusion：Patients of retinitis pigmentosa are in need of lasting communication with doctors.
