  • Abstract
  • Look Inside

We measured the morphology of the optic disc in 9 eyes of 9 patients 3 years after laser in situ keratomileusis(LASIK). Their ages averaged 28.0±5.2 years. the refraction averaged-7.1±2.3 diopters before surgery and-0.64±1.2 diopters after surgery. We used a Heidelberg retina tomograph in the measurement. All the parameters showed no difference in the shape of optic disc before and 3 years after surgery. We conclude that elevated intraocular pressure during LASIK does not affect the morphology of optic disc 3 years after surgery.
