Purpose:To report two cases of sixth nerve palsy secondary to nasopharyngeal carcinoma. Cases and Finding:This study invoved two males aged 47 and 52 years respectively. One patient developed acute diplopia. His right eye had esotropia with limited abduction. Magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)showed an infiltrative tumorous lesion from the rhinopharyngeal region to clivus. Biopsy led to the diagnosis of nonkeratinizing squamous carcinoma. The other patient had had nasopharyngeal carcinoma by radiation and chemotherapy without apparent improvement. He had diplopia after 6 months of presumed onset. His left eye had esotropia with limited abduction. MRI showed extensive infiltrative lesion involving the nasopharynx, sphenoidal bone, and apex of the petrous. Conclusion:Sixth nerve palsy may be a manifestation of nasopharyngeal tumor.
