Osteosarcoma is the most common primary bone malignancy that usually arises in the metaphyses of long bone in the childhood and adolescent period. Preoperative evaluation of the tumor extent is very important for decision of treatment modality. Epiphyseal plate has been thought to be a barrier against the spread of metaphyseal tumor to the epiphysis.
