　自験例は70歳の男性で，主訴は背部痛と発熱であった．MRIで第10胸椎椎体内に急速に増大する腫瘍性病変を認めたが，椎体針生検を含めた諸検査で確定診断を得ることができなかった．激症型の臨床経過をたどり，有効な治療を施行できないまま，入院後22日目に汎血球減少と播種性血管内凝固症候群を併発し永眠された．病理解剖所見では，第10胸椎椎体組織はCD56(＋)，CD3(－)と，NK/T細胞性リンパ腫に特徴的な病理所見を示していた．脊椎原発NK/T細胞性リンパ腫の報告は過去に1例が存在するのみであり，本症例は非常に稀な1例であると考えられた．

　We report the case of a 70-year-old man with a primary natural killer (NK)/T-cell lymphoma of the thoracic spine that followed a fulminant course.　Magnetic resonance imaging revealed an abnormal signal in the 10th thoracic vertebra.　Needle biopsy of the affected vertebra did not show any abnormal findings.　The patients condition suddenly deteriorated, and he died 22 days later.　This is only the second report in the literature of a NK/T-cell lymphoma arising in the thoracic spine.
