Assessment Table for Prevention of Venous Thromboembolism Based on the Risk Level

　われわれは当診療科の術式から勘案されたリスクレベルに応じて推奨予防法が呈示される予防調査票を作成し，静脈血栓塞栓症(VTE)対策に取り組んでいる．利点は，全入院患者に対してVTEリスクを漏れなく評価することが可能で，結果的にVTE予防の実施率の向上が期待できる．また，臨床の現場における混乱を回避できる．さらに，個々の患者ごとに適正なVTE予防法を選択できる可能性がある．しかし，各患者に対して最適な予防法が実施されているかは不明であり，今後得られたデータを分析するとともに，システムを改変していく必要がある．

　We designed an assessment form as an aid to the prevention of venous thromboembolism (VTE).　The form was based on the risk level of orthopedic patients at our institution, and we have used it to decide on measures to prevent VTE.　The advantage of this form is that it makes it possible to assess automatically the risk of VTE in all patients in our hospital.　Use of the form expected to improve the rate of implementation of measures to the prevention of VTE and also prevent confusion in actual clinical practice.　In addition, the form makes it possible to select a suitable means of preventing VTE in individual patients.　However, since the most suitable form to preventing VTE remains unclear, it will be necessary to analyze the data obtained using this form and modify it in the future.
