　抄録：糖尿病患者における難治性踵骨骨髄炎に対して踵骨亜全摘術を施行し良好な成績を得ることができたので報告する．症例は64歳，男性で42歳時より糖尿病治療を受けていた．踵骨骨髄炎を発症したためデブリドマンが施行されたが，難治性で創も開放であった．その後，骨髄炎の増悪を認めたためハベカシン入りセメントビーズにて感染を鎮静化させた後に踵骨亜全摘術を施行した．術後3年経過した現在，患者はヒール付き装具を用いて歩行可能であり，感染の再燃もない．

　A 64-year-old male who had diabetes mellitus presented with a large heel ulcer and calcaneal osteomyelitis. Treatment by curettage and debridement failed, and subtotal calcanectomy preceded by general/local antibiotic therapy was performed. The patient is now able to walk with an ankle-foot orthosis, and there have been no recurrences during the 3 years since the operation.
