　Neurofibromatosis（NF）に伴う脳血管病変については，頭蓋内内頸動脈分岐部の進行性閉塞性病変とそれに伴うmoyamoya病様異常血管網の発達が知られているが，頸部内頸動脈の無形成あるいは低形成を伴ったものはきわめて稀である。

　症例はNFIの22歳男性で，一過性の左上下肢の脱力発作で来院した。脳血管撮影で右頸部内頸動脈の閉塞，bone target CTで頸動脈管の低形成を認め内頸動脈の低形成と診断した。症状の原因としてhemodynamic stressの関与が考えられたが，SPECT所見で脳血流も保たれていることから，注意深く経過を追っている。

Congenital absence of the internal carotid artery (ICA) is a rare anomaly and aplasia/hypoplasia of the ICA associated with other congenital malformations is uncommon, too. We report a very rare case of hy-poplastic carotid canal due to hypoplastic ICA at cervi-cal portion associated with neurofibromatosis type Ⅰ (NF I).

A 22-year-old male with NF I was admitted to our hospital for transient weakness of the left upper and lower limbs. Computed tomography (CT) of the brain demonstrated no abnormal findings.
