　脳表ヘモジデリン沈着症3例において多種類感覚刺激を用いた電気生理学的検討を行った。全例で聴性誘発電位の無反応，下肢体性感覚誘発電位の潜時の遅延が認められた。また2例で視覚誘発電位P100潜時の遅延を認めた。多種類誘発感覚刺激試験を含む電気生理学的検討は本症の診断および評価に有用であると考えられた。

Superficial siderosis of the central nervous system (SS) is a rare neurological disorder characterized by symptoms such as neurosensory hearing loss, ataxic gait, and spastic paraparesis. Recently, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) enables us to make a clinical diagnosis. However, the exact patho-physiological mechanism underlying this disorderremains uncertain. Although iron chelation therapy has been attempted experimentally, it has not been successful and there is no effective medical treat-ment available.
