  • Abstract
  • Look Inside

The presented paper discussed about electromyo-graphical and clinical findings of the patients with Parkinsonism who were administered L-DOPA orally or intravenously.

In addition to the improvement of the symptoms as tremor and rigidity, the improvement of hypo-kinesia was shown.

The side effect of L-DOPA were nausea, vomit-ing, postual hypotension, hypertension, Pollakiuria and thirst. However, most of these symptoms wereinsignificant.

According to the electromyographical examina-tions, the effect in oral administration appered within 1 or 2 hours, and continued for 4 to 6 hours.

The effective dose and administration method were decided by means of EMG. From the first, patients were administered the effective dose twice a day.

Otherwise, in intravenous administration the effect appered within a few minutes and continued for 1 or 2 hours.

For the decision of the effect, the EMG puls integrator was used, and the finding had scientific exactitude.
