若年者にみられた頭蓋内ゴム腫の治験例

SUCCESSFUL TREATMENT OF A CASE OF CEREBRAL GUMMA IN A YOUNG ADULT

I．緒言

　梅毒性疾患は，サルバルサン，ペニシリン療法などの導入によつて，定型的症状を認めるような症例に遭遇することはほとんどなくなり，したがつて頭蓋内ゴム腫の報告も，最近ではきわめて少なくなり，稀有のものとなつた。

　古く1894年Starrの統計^13）によると，脳腫瘍600例中ゴム腫は22例，すなわち3.6％であつたのに比し，1932年Cushing^3）の統計は0.5％（2,203例中12例）であり，1942年Gross^6）は0.4％と報告，さらに1956年Grant^5），の統計によると0.2％（2,326例中5例）と減少の一途をたどつている。

Cerebral gummas in young adults are extremely rare. This is the report of a case of a 14-year-old-girl with a huge intracranial gumma of the right temporal lobe, which was treated successfully by a surgical attack and a postoperative antiluetic therapy.
