両側三叉神経痛を呈したBasilar Impressionの1例

A case of bilateral trigeminal neuralgia with basilar impression

I．はじめに

　大三叉神経痛major trigeminal neuralgiaは，1773年にFothergillにより記載され，全神経痛の約1／3をしめるといわれているにもかかわらず，その原因については，現在なお十分に解明されているとはいえない。三叉神経知覚根の圧迫，あるいは牽引等の外力，または動脈硬化性病変，あるいは，血管の阻血性変化にその原因を求めるものなど，多数の説がある。しかし個々の症例については原因を明らかに指摘できることは少ない。

　われわれは，両側性の定型的な大三叉神経痛発作を呈し，しかもレ線写真に著明なBasilar Impressionを認めた症例を経験したので，ここに報告するとともに，三叉神経痛とBasilar Impressionとの関連性について病因的立場から二，三の考察を加えたい。

62 years old, male who had bilateral trige-minal neuralgia with basilar impression was treated on bilateral section of the sensory roots of trigeminal nerves. The operation resulted complete relief of pain.

We discussed here some etiological relation-ship between basilar impression and trige-minal neuralgia.
