胎児性軟骨異栄養症（Chondrodystrophia foetalis）における頭底変化（Basilar impression？）及び水頭症について

On Hydrocephalus Chondrodystrophicus (Caused by Chondrodystrophia Foetalis)

　1）Hodrocephalus chondrodystrophicusの3例を報告した。

　1．2歳2ヵ月，♂：後頭下減圧開頭術後，好結果を得た。

　2．1歳10ヵ月，♂：同上手術中（異常に発達した静脈洞を傷つけ）死亡した。

　3．7歳，♂：水頭症は既に自然停止して居り手術せず，パロチン療法施行中

　2）頭底変化による水頭症の病因論につき考察した。

　色々な場所に於ける髄液又は血液の流通障碍が問題とされているが，確定的なことは云えない。

　3）先天性化骨障碍に於け工る頭底変化と，所謂Basil，impr．との異同について考察した。

　前者には，早発性水頭症型のものが多く，

　後者には，晩発性神経症状型のものが多いと思われる。

　もしこのような相違が実際に存在するとすれば，これらの原因となる両者の頭底変化の間には何か本質的な相違があるのではないかということが考えられる。

It has been known that hydrocephlus is frequently combined with chondrodystrophia foetalis. Changes of the base of the skull which are thought to be the cause of the hydrocephalus has also been discussed. How-ever, the direct cause of the hydrocephalus remains obscure.

There are some similarities between the changes of the base of the skull in such case and those of so-called basilar impression.In the former hydrocephalus occurred mostly at the time of birth, whereas in the latter it appeared mostly in adolescence for the first time and combination of hydrocephalus was very rare.

Three cases of hydrocephalus chondrody-strophicus were reported by the authors.The changes of the base of the skull seen in such cases were thought to be a peculiar type of basilar impression.

Moreover, interrelationships between this disease and related ones, especially etiology of hydrocephalus were studied.

It is a fact that this type of hydrocephalus is occasionally observed among many hydro-cephalic patients we accept in the clinic. In such cases treatment and diagnosis must be specially discussed.
