　Emeritus Prof．　Nakata, President of Uni—versity Prof．　Dr．　Ito, President of this　meeting Dr．　Ueki, Dr．　Prof．　Zimmerman，　Prof．　Dr．　Walker, Fellow Members of the　Japan Neurosurgical Society, and Ladies　＆　Gentlemen．

　Dr．　Zimmerman's name will never be　forgotten by all those working in the field　of medical science and his name will remain　eternally in the history of studies on brain　tumor．　Through his ingenious experimental　studies he has resolved the various basic　problems which involve human gliomas．
