頭蓋骨のOssifying fibromaについて—自験の3症例と文献的考察

OSSIFYING FIBROMA OF THE SKULL :REPORT OF THREE CASES AND REVIEW OF THE LITERATURE

緒言

　Ossifyng fibromaは頭蓋骨，上顎骨，下顎骨，特に副鼻腔及びその近傍に生ずる腫瘍である。過去半世紀この腫瘍に関する文献をみると各報告者により様々な名称の下に報告されてきた。即ち，osteofibroma^1），fibrous osteoma^2），osteoidfibroma^3），osseous fibroma^{16）より引用}，sclero-sing fibroma^{16）より引用}，calcifying fibroma^4），fibro-osteoid-fibroma^{16）より引用}，secondaryfibroma^5），osteoidoma,monostotic type of　fibrous dysplasia^6）7）8），localized osteitis fib-rosa^9），psammoma^10）11），psammöses Endothe-liom^{24）より引用}，ektopisches Meningiom^12）など甚だ多彩な名称がこの腫瘍に対して与えられてきた。何れも病理学的特徴を現わしたものであり，それぞれに根拠のある名称ではあつたがこの命名上の混乱はこれを一つの腫瘍単位として統一するには大きな妨げとなつた。

　この腫瘍をfibromaやosteomaより分離せしめて一つの独立したclinico-pathological entityとしての地位を与えたのはGögl^13）の功績である。

Ossifying fibroma is a rare tumor, which develops in the cranial and facial bone, espe-cially in the paranasal sinus.

On this paper, three cases diagnosed as ossifying fibroma of the frontal bone and the orbital roof were reported. Two were bo-ys, aged 19 and 15 years, and one was a girl 15 years of age.

The authors discussed symptomatology, roentgenological findings, histological chara-cteristics, relation to other tumors, and trea-tment of this tumor.
