眼球突出を呈したossifying fibromaの1症例

Ossifying Fibroma Producing Exophthalmos:Report of a Case

　はじめに

　耳鼻咽喉科領域に発生する骨性腫瘍のうち，ossifying fibromaやfibrous dysplasiaは比較的稀な疾患であるが，現在のところ，両者が同一疾患か異なった疾患か意見の分かれるところである。今回われわれは，蝶形骨洞，節骨洞にまたがる巨大なossifying fbromaにより眼球突出を呈した22歳の女性の症例を経験したので，ossifying fibromaの概念および本症例における診断，治療法の問題点について，文献的考察を加えて報告する。

A 22-year-old female presented with exophtha-lmos caused by a large ossifying fibroma of the sphenoid and ethmoid sinuses.

Diagnostic and therapeutic problems and patho-logical comparison of the concepts of ossifying fibroma and fibrous dysplasia were discussed.

For six months after the patient was discharged from hospital, no tumor enlargement, ophthalmic symptoms or cranial nerve abnormalities were recognized.
