著明な精神症状を呈したCraniopharyngiomaの2症例について

A REPORT ON 2 CASES OF CRANIOPHARYNGIOMA IN 3 RD VENTRICLE WITH MARKED PSYCHIC SYMPTOMS

I．緒言

　我々は先きに31歳男子に於ける第3脳室Cra—niopharyngiomaの例を報告し，その多彩な身体的並びに精神的症状について分析，検討し，その剖見所見との関連をも論じたが，その際精神症状については充分な検査を為し得るに到らなかつた。その後偶々症状の著しく相似た2例の本疾患に遭遇し，その精神症状に対して，殊に健忘症状群に対して，若干の検査を試み得て考察を加える事が出来たので敢てここに報告する次第である。

Two cases of craniopharyngioma which was involving an area of the 3d ventricle, with marked psychic symptoms were reported. In each case, the symptoms were characterised neurologically by obesity, impotency, failure of vision, mentally by disturbance of memo-ry, disorientation, onirism and inclining to drowsiness.

At the same time, it was observed that one patient was in euphoric state and had a ten-dency of comfabulation, while the other was irritable, stimulative and in delusional state.

The biological and psychiatric findings were described in detail, and the amnestic sympt-oms in these 2 cases were considered to be due to disturbance of consciousness caused by increased intracranial pressure.
