緒言
アデノシン三燐酸(ATP)が物質代謝に於いて演ずる意義は衆知の事であり,脳に於いても其のエネルギーの供給は,主としてグルコーゼに依りなされ,此の糖分解にはATPが重要な役割を演ずる事実から,ATPは脳の物質代謝に於いても極めて重要な意義を有するものと云い得る1)2)3)4)5)。
一方,脳外傷時,脳自体には器質的・機能的の種々の病変を生じ,夫々臨牀的に対策を必要とするが,かかる病的状態にある脳が如何なる代謝過程に依り支えられているかを追及することも亦重要なことと考える。
The energy requirement of brain are supp-lied mainly by glucose while ATP plays a central part in the breakdown of glucose, therefore ATP is a essential phosphate ester in the brain metabolism. The present inve-stigation is carried out to obtain the changes of ATP in the injured brain.
1) normal average value of ATP in the rat brain is 58.6mg%.
2) ATP in the injured brain begins to de-crease immediately after injuries, following the least value after 15 minutes and gradually increas but not return to normal value after one week or one month.
3) regardless of bleeding or not, ATP in the injured brain decreases, and in the loca-lized meningitis ATP shows a few decrease.
