The patient was 24 years old woman. Her main psychotic symptom was disturbance of conciousness, i.e. delirium.

The autopsy showed a large number of ova of Schistozoma japonicum in liver, degenera-tion of liver cells and tuberculosis of lung. Histopathologically regressive changes of nerve cells, incomplete softning of cerebral cortex and glia nodules in white substance were obs-erved.

Authors deducted these brain changes as toxic changes caused by schistosomas
