精神症状を呈した日本住血吸虫症の1剖検例

A Histopathologic Study of Schistozomiasis with Psychotic Symptoms

　1）24歳女，症候性精神病と診断された。主な症厭は意識溷濁，譫妄等であつた。

　2）剖見上肝に著明な日本住血吸虫卵による肝変性と若干の肺結核竈があり，脳には軽度の神経細胞の退行変化と，皮質の不完全軟化巣，白質の膠質結節等が見られた。

　3）著者等は日本住血吸虫の毒素が主に作用したのであろうと推論した。

The patient was 24 years old woman. Her main psychotic symptom was disturbance of conciousness, i.e. delirium.

The autopsy showed a large number of ova of Schistozoma japonicum in liver, degenera-tion of liver cells and tuberculosis of lung. Histopathologically regressive changes of nerve cells, incomplete softning of cerebral cortex and glia nodules in white substance were obs-erved.

Authors deducted these brain changes as toxic changes caused by schistosomas
