  • Abstract
  • Look Inside

Corrected transposition of the great vessels without associated intracardiac anomalies is an extremely rare condition. In contrast, complete transposition of the great vessels is a common congenital defect, and recently becoming amen-able to corrective surgery. Correction of this anomaly using the Mustard procedure results in an anatomic situation that simulates that of cor-rected transposition.
