I presented surveillance methods for FAP(familial adenomatous polyposis)and Lynch syndrome and described colorectal, gastric, duodenal, and desmoid tumors in patients with FAP. Furthermore, I introduced a recently developed treatment for intensive downstaging polypectomy.

I described surveillance methods for the colon, stomach, uterus, ovaries, and urinary tract system in Lynch syndrome. I noted that colorectal tumors recognized in Lynch syndrome require more closely spaced colonoscopies because of their higher atypia and faster growth rate compared to sporadic adenomas.

Notably, the surveillance methods for the Clinical Practice of Hereditary Colorectal Cancer issued by the Japanese Society for Cancer of the Colon and Rectum will be revised in 2024.
