 A trial of statistical analysis of the speed of ulcer healing and relapse is performed. A non-linear regression analysis is conducted between two variables “t” (time of observation) and “y” (non-healing or nonrelapse rate), obtaining an exponential function y=Ae-kt. Practically, the equation is y=100 : 0≦t<Ti,y=100e-k(t-Ti): Ti≦t.

 The theoretical values obtained from the equation are very close to the observed values.

 The regression parameters are defined as follows, k ; reduction rate constant of non-healing or non-relapse rates, Ti : initiation time of healing or relapse, T1/2: half-life of non-healing or non-relapse rate, and T50: time of 50% healing or relapse.

 With this method, benefit or risk factors which regulate the healing or relapsing speed of peptic ulcer can be dynamically evaluated, being expressed by digital parameters.
