A 41 year-old man was referred to our Center with no particular complaints nor was there any history of complaints in his family. X-ray revealed a shallow depression with areae gastricae of a coarse nature, accompanied by fold abruption from the greater curvature.Territory along the lesser curvature close to the oral site was very diffcult to discern.Hence we diagnosed it Ⅱc+Ⅱb.Forwardviewing panendoscopy revealed grainy coarse areae with discoloration marking the depression. Some part of the lesion was extremely difllcult to discern, but we presumed the spread of cancer to be a wider area and therefore concluded the lesion to be Ⅱc+Ⅱb endoscopically.
The resected specimen revealed the spread of cancer shown up by x-ray.A small portion of the lesion interpreted as Ⅱb by x-ray was demonstrated on the resected specimen.
