A 73 year-old man was referred to the Second Department of Internal Medicine, Osaka Medical College on April 19, 1983 from another hospital where abnormalities of the stomach was checked. He had no subjective complaint at the first visit to our clinic. Physical examination and laboratory data revealed no abnormalities.
Upper gastrointestinal x-ray examination demonstrated slightly elevated lesion consisting of the aggregation of various shaped, small nodules from the lesser curvature to the posterior wall of the gastric antrum. Similar findings were also demonstrated by endoscopic examination with GF-B3. Biopsy specimen taken from the lesion showed well differentiated tubular adenocarcinoma.
