胃の“Giant Rugae”―X線による所見のとらえ方

“Giant Rugae” of the Stomach: Depicting Methcd in the Radiologic Examination

　胃の“Giant rugae”という用語が，現在，日本ではかなり広く用いられている．この用語がそれなりに用いられている理由はあろうが，“Giant rugae”（以下GRと略す）をあまり厳密に考えることなく，文献的にみることも必要であるし，そこにかかげられてあるX線像やその描写法について特に注意深くみてみた．

　The synonyms of “Giant rugae” of the stomach are (described in Table 1., which were gathered from the European and American literature. However, the nuance of this disease is not quite the same in each author.

　The incidence of this disease is nut so frequent in the literature, as shown in Table 4.

　The method for depicting the face-on view of the gastric corpus on the greater curvature was already published in “I to Cho” (Stomach and Intestine), 3 (11): 1455～1460, October 25, 1968 (Igakushoin Tokyo, Japan), by the same author, D. Aoyama. The precise method is shown in Table 11. of this paper.

　A case is demonstrated in Figs. 8.～14., and the author has not seen the typical case in the recent 10 years.

　However, this depicting method of the face-on view of the gastric corpus on the greater curvature is very important for suspicious lesions of “Giant rugae” and early cancer of the stomach or for scirrhous carcinoma of the greater curvature of the corpus.

　The author recommends this method more widely for any suspicious lesions demanding more precise depiction.
