Abstract Purpose:The use of cemiplimab, an immune checkpoint inhibitor, in the treatment of cervical cancer was approved in 2023. This report presents a case of Vogt-Koyanagi-Harada(VKH)-like panuveitis indeced by cemiplimab treatment.

Case Report:A 51-year-old woman developed VKH-like panuveitis seven months after commencing treatment with cemiplimab in April 2023. The previous physician prescribed oral corticosteroids for the management of optic disc edema and serous retinal detachment. Swelling of the optic disc persisted with corticosteroid treatment and discontinuation of cemiplimab, however intraretinal edema and serous detachment in the macula exhibited improvement. Resumption of cemiplimab therapy after stabilization of the ocular findings remains under consideration.

Conclusion:This case revealed an immune-related adverse event(irAE)associated with cemiplimab, a novel immune checkpoint inhibitor. The requirement for balancing the ocular complications induced by irAEs with effective cancer treatment indicates the reqirement for developing new therapeutic protocols.
