　糖尿病と脂質異常症はともに心血管疾患の危険因子であり，両者の合併はさらに心血管疾患のリスクを増大させるため，その管理は非常に重要である．糖尿病患者における脂質異常症は臨床的に高コレステロール血症，高TG血症，低HDL-C血症としてとらえられる．脂質異常症の検査では，検診などの一般的な測定項目である総コレステロール，HDL-C，中性脂肪のほかに，リポ蛋白分析やアポ蛋白の測定などがある．これらの検査を組み合わせることで，病態を把握し，適切な治療を行うことが必要である．

Both of diabetes mellitus and dyslipidemia are the important risk factors of cardiovascular diseases.　The accumulation is more risky, and the management for the both of them should be carefully carried out.　Each dyslipidemia, such as hypercholesterolemia, hypertriglyceridemia, and lower level of HDL-C, is observed in diabetes mellitus.　We can approach the pathophysiology and appropriate management by laboratory examinations for dyslipidemia including a check of the serum level of lipids (cholesterol, triglyceride and HDL-C) and apolipoproteins, and the analysis of lipoprotein profiles.
