　I．緒言

　glomus jugulare tumorは1945年にRossenwasser^1）によって初めて報告された。本邦においては，1956年切替ら^2）の報告をみるが，比較的稀な疾患とされている。

　我々は最近，13歳女児においてglomus jugulare tumorと考えられる症例を経験したので，その経過を報告しあわせて文献的考察を加えたい。

　A 13-year-old girl complaining of a tumor in the right external auditory meatus was first seen in our clinic.

　The whitish hemorrhagic tumor with hard consistency obstructed the meatus. The initial histological diagnosis was capillary hemangioma.

　The operative findings revealed that the tumor was originated from thre hypotympanum and extended around the jugulare bulb. The tumor was partially removed because of excessive bleeding during the procedure, and radiation therapy was added. The post-operative diagnosis was typical glomus jugulare tumor.
