SU 4885（下垂体機能検査薬）負荷時におけるめまい症例についての考察

SU 4884 AND VERTIGO

　Ⅰ．緒言

　最近下垂体機能検査が行なわれるようになり，上位中枢，間脳と下垂体刺激物が発見されたことである。その中で下垂体予備能の臨床検査により用いられることをはじめて提唱したのはLiddle^1）ら（1958）である。この機構はMetopyron（SU 4885）負荷によつてnegative feed back機序を利用した間脳，下垂体，副腎皮質系の反応をみるのである。しかし副作用としてめまいも時にあることがいわれている。Metopyronはチバ研究所においてBenczeとAllen^2）（1959）によつて初めて合成されたピナコロン型ケトンである。構造式は次のようである。

　It is said that SU 4885, the drug for testing hypophysial functions, may cause vertigo as a side effect. The author investigated the hypophysial and vestibular functions of pre and post administration of SU 4885.

　Hypophysial functions lowered in three of the five cases with head injuries, and one of the two cases with Simmond's disease. The vestibular function was disturbed in half of the 6 normal, 14 head-injured, and 14 other subjects by SU 4885 administration.

　The author assumed SU 4885 might irritate reticular formation and disturb equilibrium and ocular movement.
