　Sudden deafnessとよばれる急性感音性難聴については多くの報告があるが，reversible sudden deafness即ち回復した急性感音性難聴に注目した報告は割合に少く，殊にその回復過程が特異な経過を示したり，特異な聴力型を示す一群のあることを重視した報告は見られない。我々が経験したreversible sudden deafnessには興味ある回復過程を示すものがあつたので，sudden deafnessを回復過程に重点をおいて報告する。

　The audiograms in 3 cases of unilateral reversible sudden deafness showed in 1 case a level type and in 2 cases sagging type of hearing losses. The recovery of hearing in these cases is facilitated at the region of the low and high tones while that of the region of 1000 cps tends to lag behind ; consequently, during the process of recovery the audiogram would become a sagging type curve. An audiogram of such nature is usually not met with in Meniere's disease or any type of nerve deafness and when it is found it might be considered as diagnostic signs of reversible sudden deafness.
