　Ⅰ．緒言

　ラヂオは戦前よりも戦後において，より一層一般大衆の中にとけこんだ観があつて，今日国民生活の一部をなすといつても過言でない。

　ところがラヂオ放送になくてならないアナウンサーの音声については従来殆んど調査したものが見当らない。

Furukawa and associates conducted voice tests on 27 individuals whose occupation is radio-announcer in order to observe various aspects in which phonation may be involved.

It is noted that, as in the event of singing voice so also, in the technic of conversational voice that art of breath-holding appear to play an important role in deed.

It is also noted that, if the conversational voice is held at a level 3 degrees higher than the loweremost pitch for that voice, its tonal quality would be found to be improved with clearness and slurring of words at their end might be avoided.
