Ⅰ．はじめに

　近年，画像診断や抗生物質の発達により耳性頭蓋内感染症は比較的稀な疾患となった．しかし，特に小脳膿瘍の場合，ひとたびこれを来すとその致死率は依然として高率といわれている^3-5）．今回われわれは一旦治癒した小脳膿瘍が8年後に再発を来した症例を経験した．入院後の検索にて，その原因が中耳真珠腫であったことが判明，中耳真珠腫に対する根本術を施行したところ治癒に至った．本症例につき，若干の文献的考察を加えて報告する．

We report a case of recurrent cerebellar abscess secondary to middle ear cholesteatoma. A 57-year-old man was admitted to our hospital because of symptoms of headache and nausea in August, 1992. Brain CT scans revealed acute hydrocephalus complicated by a cerebellar abscess. The patient was discharged without any neurological dete-rioration after systemic antibiotics combined with intrathecal aminoglucoside administration via ventricular drainage. Mannitol was also administrated for 7 days immediately after the patient's admission. The clinical course was un-eventful for 8 years afterwards.
