運動ニューロンの発生と分化

Differentiation of motoncurons during development

はじめに

　神経系に限らず発生・分化の過程は古くから形態学的観察に基づいて調べられ，数多くの重要な問題が提出されてきた。近年これら形態学的研究から提出された諸問題に対し電気生理学的手法によるアプローチが盛んに行なわれ，形態学的研究結果を確認する一方で形態学的手法では見出しえなかった現象も明らかにしつつある。

　本稿では運動ニューロンの発生・分化に関するいくつかの間題について最近の知見を筆者の実験結果をも含めて紹介したい。形態と機能を分けて考えることができないのは当然であるが，便宜的に分化の過程を形態的分化と機能的分化に分けた。また運動ニューロンの分化の過程を概観するために，問題を深く追うことを避けたので引用した文献が偏っていることもお断わりしておきたい。

Abstract

Many important problems and concepts con-cerning the differentiation of nervous system have been developed by morphological observa-tions. Recently, it is increasing to apply an electrophysiological technique to these problems. The studies have confirmed some of the concepts derived from the morphological studies. Moreover, they have revealed new phenomena which were not detected by the morphological studies. This paper review the recent advance in the study of the differentiation of motoneurons.

Motoneurons send their axons to the proper targets through specified pathway (Lance-Jones & Landmesser, 1980).
