　57歳，男性。前立腺癌の多発性肺転移巣で発見され，その後2回にわたって多発性肺転移巣の再発を繰り返し，その都度diethylstilbestrol-diphosphateの投与により寛解し，9年間経過した症例を経験した。本例の経験からホルモン製剤の間欠的投与は，症例を限定すれば良好な予後を期待できる治療法と考えられた。

A 64-year-old male patient was diagnosed as having prostatic carcinoma with multiple lung metastasis. For 6 years subsequently these metastatic lesions relapsed twice because of the patient's self-discontinua-tion of hormone therapy, whereas diethylstilbestrol treatment produced complete disappearance of these lesions. From our experience of this case, we conclude that intermittent hormone therapy for prostatic carcinoma can give an excellent prognosis in a limited numbers of cases.
