緒言

　前立腺摘出術はいずれの術式を選択しても術後の成績にそれ程の差がないものと考える。

　しかし同じ術式で行なつても症例によつては術後に前立腺床からの出血に悩まされることがある。このため頻回の膀胱洗滌または留置カテーテルが閉塞されて，この交換を余儀なくされ，医師の苦労のみならず患者に与える苦痛は甚だ大きい。

Incomplete hemostasis after prostatectomy, occationally leads to obstruction of the transurethral indwelling catheter by blood clots or may fill the bladder with blood clots.

In order to prevent post-retropubic prostatectomy hemorrhage, we have been putting a suture around the area of 5 and 7 o'clock at the bladder neck, where bleeding is usually most remarkable, and lead this ligature out to the perineum through the prostatic capsule and tieit, pulling the bladder neck toward the perineum, with no other hemostasis of the prostatic bed.
