　症例は40歳，男性。左精巣痛の精査目的に紹介された。精巣超音波では部分的に血流のない低エコー領域を認め，精巣部分梗塞が疑われた。緊急手術を行ったが，梗塞範囲が広く摘出となった。

　A 40-year-old man presented with a pain running from the left flank to the lower abdomen. Ultrasonography revealed no abnormal findings in the kidneys and the urinary bladder,but segmental hypoechoic lesion with absent blood flow in the lower part of the left testis. Segmental infarction of the left testis was suspected and emergency operation was performed. Conservative surgery was to be desired,however,left orchiectomy was needed because the infarction was found to be of considerable size. Pathological examination confirmed a segmental infarction in the testicular tissue,which was consistent with the pre-operative diagnosis. Segmental testicular infarction is extremely rare. To the best of our knowledge this is the 96th case in the literature.
