　本症は1935年にNeumann^5）が甲状腺の機能障害がない限局性皮膚ムチン沈着症をLichenmyxedematosusとして発表以来，Papular mucinosis^6），Scleromyxedema^8），Lichen fibromucinoidosis^7）の病名でも記載され，欧米では比較的に多くの症例報告があるが，本邦においては2，3の報告^23,29,30）をみるにすぎない．最近著者らは，肝機能障害を伴つた本症の1例を経験したので大要を報告し，いささか文献的考察を加えた．

This disease on the face, nape, scalp, and lower jaw region in a 60-year-old man was reported. He has been suffered from the hepatitis for the recent half year and has had the skin lesions for 3 months.

While the liver functions were proved to be disturbed, the disturbance of the thyroid function was not proved. Histologic specimen from the papule on the nape showed deposition of hyaluronic acid inbe-tween the swollen and fragmented connective tissue fibers in the lower part of the upper dermis and mid dermis, which was proved by mucicarmin and alcian blue stain, mctachromasia of toluidin blue, and hyaluronidase digestion etc.

Application of ODT with steroid ointments was ineffective. The local injection of the hyaluronidase showed the temporal improvement, but the recurrence was followed after 2 weeks.
