はじめに
ジフテリアは，かつては本邦でも多数の発症をみたが，予防接種の普及により激減し1986年以降は年間10例未満となり，1994年以降は毎年1例ずつ認めるのみとなった1）。しかし，世界的にはロシアにおいて1990年以降ジフテリア発生の増加がみられ，近隣諸国への波及が懸念されている2〜5）。今回われわれは，咽頭ジフテリアの1例を経験したので，若干の考察を加え報告する。
We reported a case of pharyngeal diphtheria presenting with sore throat, fever and tonsilar psuedomembrane.
A 20-year-old man received a series of DPTvaccination in his childhood. Microscopic examina-tion of the psuedomembrane showed typical find-ings of corynebacterium diphtheriae. The patiant was successfully treated with erythromycin and penicillin G. No antitoxin was given in the present case.
Although the disease is very rare in Japan recent-ly, it is important to take its possibility into consid-eration.
