　1990年3月までの1年間に受診したアレルギー性結膜炎患者245例（男性99例，女性146例）を対象に，血清IgE RISTおよび，ハウスダスト，ダニ，スギ，ブタクサ，カモガヤの5種類に対するIgE RASTを検査し，他のアレルギー性疾患との合併，発症の季節性，角膜病変の有無などを検討した。IgE RIST値は，1）鼻炎，皮膚炎，喘息の重複する群，2）症状が通年性の群，3）角膜病変を合併する群で高値を示した。IgE RASTでは，1）鼻炎合併群でスギと，2）皮膚炎・喘息重複群でハウスダスト・ダニと，3）通年型でハウスダスト・ダニとの有意な関係を認めた。

We evaluated the immunological status in 245 patients with allergic conjunctivitis in its early stage. The patients were tested as to serum IgE radioimmunosorbent test (RIST) and radioaller-gosorbent test (RAST). Elevation of IgE RIST was observed in those with perennial clinical manifesta-tions, those with corneal lesions and those withother allergic symptoms including atopic dermati-tis, asthma and allergic rhinitis. The RAST showed high sensitivity to cedar pollen antigen in patients with allergic rhinitis and to housedust and mite antigens in those with atopic dermatitis and asthma. The findings seemed to show that peren-nial animal proteinous antigens, such as housedust and mite, caused chronic and severer clinical mani-festations than pollen antigens.
