　下眼瞼再建時の裏打ち材料として，耳甲介軟骨移植を使用する，新しい方法を考案した．

　この材料の特徴は以下の通りである．（1）高い支持性が得られる．（2）周囲よりの粘膜の増殖による上皮化が容易に起こる．（3）自然なグレイラインに仕上がる．（4）適度な弾力性があり，その曲率もよく眼球前面への密着性が良い．（5）採取が容易で採取部位にも変形を残さない．

　以上より眼瞼再建の裏打ち材料として有用であると確信する．

We treated 6 cases with our new technique for reconstruction of the lower eyelid. As a particular feature of the method, we used conchal cartilage homograft without mucous membrane for posterior lining of the eyelid.

Our method was beneficial in various features. It resulted in a stable lid margin. The raw surface ofthe graft facing the eyeball became epithelialized from the surrounding mucosa 2 to 3 weeks after surgery. A natural-looking gray line was the usual outcome. The graft provided good contact with the eyeglobe because of its moderate elasticity and the spherical surface. It was easy to harvest the con-chal cartilage with minimum deformity.
