Abstract 文献概要

　函館地方における未熟児網膜症の視機能の追跡調査を行い次の結果を得た。

（1）屈折異常の程度，視力，斜視の発生，両眼視機能などの予後の視機能は瘢痕の程度と深い関係があった。

（2）瘢痕期GradeII以上の重篤な症例では，正常な視機能を将来獲得することが非常に困難である。

（3）有効な治療と思われる光凝固は，I型活動3期の中期ならびに混合型，II型において，必要な症例に対して行い，予後の視機能を良好に保つことができた。

We conducted a retrospective study on the visual functions in patients with retinopathy of prematu-rity in Hakcdate area.

A close relationship was present between the grade of retinal scarring and the visual functions including refractive errors, visual acuity, incidence of strabismus and impaired binocular vision.

In cases advanced more than grade II of cicatri-cial phase, it seemed difficult for the patients to achieve normal visual functions at a later date.

Photocoagulation proved to be effective when applied during the 3rd stage of the active phase of type I and type II (rush type) of retinopathy of prematurity.
