I．緒言
弱視治療は，近年Bangerter2）， Cueppers4）の研究により，急速の進歩をとげた。現在，斜視弱視治療の公式的な方針としては，弱視を治療し，ついで，斜視手術を行なつていくことである。
しかしながら，斜視弱視というものが，眼位矯正のみで，時の経過につれて，自然治療を営みうるかどうかの疑問は依然として残されている。
Postoperative follow-up study was conducted on 18 cases of strabismic amblyopia. The fol-low-up observation after surgery lasted two years at least in all the cases.
For the sake of evaluation, the cases were divided into three groups. The first group included those who had beentreated for am-blyopia before surgery. The second group includ-ed those who were treated following surgery and the third those who did not receive any amblyopic treatment. The improvement in visual acuity was most favourable in the first group.
Following findings have been confirmed in the third group:
