眼窩壁骨折のX線診断法

Radiological Diagnosis of Orbital Fracture

　先に私達は従来外傷性眼球陥没症として報告されている症例の殆んどすべてに眼窩壁骨折が認められ，眼球陥凹は眼窩壁骨折の一症状として現れるものであることを報告した。眼窩壁骨折の診断は本邦では極めて少いが欧米に於ては文献にみるのみでも既に20年以上前から報告されており，外傷性眼球陥没症なる診断は殆んどみることがないようである。

　又近年は眼窩に正面から鈍的な圧力が加わつた場合，眼球には殆んど障害をきたさずに，眼窩内側壁や下壁の骨質の薄く弱い部分が，吹抜けたように眼窩外に向つて骨折する所謂Blow-out fra—ctureの症例が数多く報告されている。本邦においてもこの種の骨折が次第に多くなつてきているようである。

The importance of accurate diagnosis of frac-ture of orbital wall is stressed as it is often the underlying cause for posttraumatic enoph-thalmus. One of the most convenient diagnostic methods is x-ray stereophotography of the skull. The present authors prefer the stereo-photography after Waters and recommend it as the fundamental approach in the diagnosis of suspected orbital fracture.
