糖尿病性網膜症において，遺伝負荷を有する83名（当眼科及名大山田内科糖尿病外来に属する患者）を対象に，負荷率，発生及進行を期間，コントロール，性差，老若差等の関係から調べた。尚，若年は39歳迄，老年は40歳以上とした。

1. Parental tendency
1) The parental tendency rate was high in the juvenile retinopathy and was not in the senile.
2) No sex differences were found in the tendency rate between non-retinopathy and retinopathy of juvenile and senile types.
3) The tendency rate (non-retinopathy, in the mild case) was higher in the youth than in the old age (A) and that (in the mild ca-se) was higher in the youth than in the old age (A) (B).
4) A high incidence of retinopathy was ob-served in the youth with the parental tende-ncy.
