Ⅰ．まえがき
原爆白内障に関する問題は，その進行性の有無，老人性白内障発生との関連性，さらに実験的放射能性白内障，とくに中性子白内障などの研究の方面に残されていることをのべたのであるが1），今回，経過年数1.5〜9年の間における，原爆白内障混濁の推移を調査研究することができたので，その経過を報告する。
During six years from 1952 to 1958, 2001 persons of survivors exposed by the atomic bomb in Hiroshima in 1945 were examined and 75 cases were exactly diagnosed as the atomic bomb cataract. Futhermore, twenty-one patients of them were precisely re-examined in the summer of 1961.
The results obtained indicated that the duration of the disease was ranged from one year and half to nine years and that the type of these patients were divided into the following four groups.
Group 1: Both vision and opacity of the lens were stable ..........................................4 cases
