手根管症候群に対する経口プロスタグランジンE1誘導体製剤（Limaprost Alfadex）の治療効果について

Therapeutic Effect of Limaprost Alfadex on Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

　背景：Limaprost alfadexは馬尾神経の血流増加作用を持ち，腰部脊柱管狭窄症に対し広く処方されている．

　対象と方法：同薬の血流増加作用が手根管症候群例の正中神経に対しても奏功すると考え，手根管症候群と診断した20例にlimaprost alfadexを投与し，手根管症候群質問表(CTSI)を用いて治療効果を検討した．

　結果：同薬による治療後，知覚に関する評価(CTSI-SS)，機能に関する評価(CTSI-FS)ともに改善傾向を認めた．

　まとめ：本研究の結果からlimaprost alfadexは手根管症候群の症状を緩和させる可能性があると考えられた．

　Background：Limaprost alfadex is known to improve cauda equina nerve blood flow and is widely prescribed for the treatment of lumbar spinal canal stenosis.

　Methods：We thought that limaprost alfadex would improve median nerve blood flow, and assessed its therapeutic effect on the carpal tunnel syndrome.　The subjects consisted of 20 patients diagnosed with carpal tunnel syndrome.　We treated them with limaprost alfadex and evaluated its therapeutic effect using by carpal tunnel syndrome instrument (CTSI-JSSH).

　Results：Both symptom severity scale (CTSI-SS) related to sensory function and functional status scale (CTSI-FS) related to motor function tended to improve.

　Conclusions：The results of this study suggest that limaprost alfadex has the ability to mitigate the symptoms of carpal tunnel syndrome.
