　人工膝関節置換術(TKA)後大腿骨骨折の2例を経験した．これらを，ともに多軸方向のlocking compression plate system(non contact bridging for the distal femur：NCBDF)とDoll Miles wire(DMW)併用とし治療した結果，良好な固定性が得られ，約4カ月後に骨癒合し，もとの日常生活動作へ機能回復を果たすことができた．これら内固定材は，TKA後の大腿骨遠位部骨折，さらに骨幹部骨折合併例にも有用であると思われた．

　Two patients with femoral fracture after total knee arthroplasty (TKA) were treated.　A compression polyaxial locking plate system (non-contact bridging for the distal femur) was used with a Doll Miles wire.　Favorable fixation was achieved.　Bone union occurred after approximately 4 months.　The patients resumed a normal active daily life in the same state as before the injury.　Inner fixing agents were considered to be useful for the treatment of a distal femoral fracture and in cases in which the bone shaft fracture occurs concurrently after TKA.
